TBX

The Locksoft TOOLBOX contains three programs which can help you keep track of codes, keys and combinations.

CodeBase

If you ever had to search through countless back issues of trade magazines trying to find a code, you need CodeBase. It is a very fast database program which you can use to enter codes for later retrieval.

If you see a code you think you will need later, enter it into CodeBase and it will be at your fingertips when you need it. CodeBase does not come with thousands of codes in it to burden your computer, some of which you will never use. Instead you enter your own codes, the ones you really need from day to day.

CodeBase will also let you look up a code by entering the combination of a key. This feature can be used to give the customer the code to store in a safe place for future use.

KeyBase

KeyBase is a key blank cross reference program which is similar to the CodeBase program to operate. It lets you tell it what manufacturer and which numbers to use to avoid cluttering up the program and your screen with data you will never use. You may enter up to six different manufacturers. The aftermarket blank manufacturers numbers can be referenced against the original manufacturer and his blank number.

KeyBase is accurate and because YOU enter the data yourself you will not encounter any third party errors. Searching for a blank by any of the manufacturer numbers entered is possible and KeyBase will find it fast.

You can also enter your keyboard hook number and KeyBase will tell it to you when it finds the blank you asked for in a search. Using KeyBase will let you know immediately if you have a particular blank or equivalent, and where you keep it.

Combo

This program will produce random safe lock combinations for any type of safe lock, and for the Simplex family of pushbutton locks. Combo is easy to use. You can specify the technical parameters, (number of wheels, drop in zone, etc...), of each type of combination lock you work on.

Tell Combo how many combinations you want and it will generate them immediately. You can have the list displayed on the screen, to your printer, or even onto adhesive labels. Stick the label on the back of your business card and give it to the customer. No more expense of having both sides of your card printed.

Combo won't pick anniversaries, birthdays or any other typical pattern which can be deciphered. Unlike the human brain it won't pick similar numbers for different customers either. All combinations are generated at random using the lock specifications you supply.

Bonus

Included on the TBX diskette is a subdirectory which has a number of other utility files you may find useful.
